sassafras reminds me of my childhood summers. running around at camp, i loved tripping over a sassafras tree, picking a little mitten leaf and smelling its lemonny scent. it smells of summer and sunshine and carefree days. it’s the friendliest plant, as it’s always waving “hello”!
